Believe in Yourself

This is for a friend of mine who isn't sure if he will be able to achieve his goals

"Laugh often,
Dream big,
Reach for the stars"

"Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing to do in the world. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength"

"Life is short, live bold! Be heard, be you, dream big, take risks, don’t wait!"

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.”

“At first, dreams seem impossible, then improbable, and eventually inevitable.”

“Be willing to be uncomfortable. Be comfortable being uncomfortable. It may get tough, but it’s a small price to pay for living a dream.”

You are confined only by the walls you build yourself                   Nothing worth having comes easy

When life give you rough waves, surf'em                         when-you-think-youre-screwed-remember

Believe in yourself! I hope this helped..............

The Longest Thirty Minutes Of My Life_Part 2

I hesitated & didn't want to carry him because he was dirty so I let him sit beside me but when he came crawling towards me though he was weak, I didn't have the heart to leave him. He wanted me to comfort him, to tell him that he would live to see the sun shine. At that moment I understood each & every word he wanted to say but couldn't, I knew how much of pain he was going through & I saw the world from his innocent eyes. At that moment he understood each & every comforting word I told him. He knew how much I loved him & how much I didn't want him to leave me.We had reached the hospital. There was nothing more which can be done. Now, Tenzing is admitted, he may or may not survive. All I know is that I will always love him. He will always be etched in my heart. He taught me how to value the greatest gift which I had never valued. Dedicated to my little angel, Ten

The Longest Thirty Minutes Of My Life_Part 1

[ This happened on June 6th]

My mom took the wheel while I sat in the back seat thinking that this would be an ordinary drive, well it just wasn't.
We picked him(my puppy, we had just got him a few days back) from CUPA( govt veterinary hospital). I expected CUPA to be loving & warm but instead it was cold & scary with sick animals lying everywhere. I had never seen this sick & ugly filled with pain & suffering. A man led us to a small treatment room, it was dingy, dirty, cold, smelly & ugly. The walls were white in colour but looked grayish, the flooring was stained, there were many medical instruments which were very dirty. That man told us that Tenzing (my puppy, Shih tzu breed) was in that room & showed us a small cage, it was locked, he opened it & left. I was finally seeing him after a day, I expected him to be sick, but I didn't ever imagine in my wildest dreams that he would be so sick.
One look into his eyes, was all I needed to know the pain he was going through. His eyes otherwise brown in colour portrayed the pain of separation, loneliness & suffering & doubt if he would survive or not. Oh! how could I ever forget the way he whined, it is something which will  always stay with me.
The duty doctor Dr Joseph(name changed to protect privacy) came & checked him, he spoke very casually & told us that 'she' might have parvo. That minute we knew we couldn't allow him to die here. This so called doctor didn't even realise that it was a dog & not a bitch. I told my mom to discharge him & while she did that I asked them to clean him up & I let him rest on fresh newspaper which I had laid on the back seat of the car. Even though they tried to keep him well hydrated he was completely dehydrated. We had to go to another hospital really quickly to save him.
We put loads of newspaper in the back seat & my mom had to drive as fast as she could while my job was to hold him firmly so that he doesn't fall down. My work sounded quite simple, I just had to hold him. As the car started moving, Tenzing started whining a lot. In the beginning, I thought it was because I was holding him the wrong way but later I realised it was because of the pain which he was going through. I was just comforting him. After sometime, he started breathing rapidly as if he was taking his last breath.
At that moment I felt like he was clinging on to me, helpless and desperate gasping for breath, fighting for the right to live, which we don't hesitate to give away.

LIFE IS SO UNFAIR

I love writing! I've written so many short stories and I've always wanted to take part in the Albert Barrow Creative Writing Competition. Since I'm now in grade 9, I can finally take part. I signed up my name as soon as I found out, and today we were supposed to find out who gets through to the next level although there wasn't a test, the teachers were just supposed to choose the best in the class.
I assumed I would at least get through  to the first round. Imagine my disappointment when I found out that I didn't get through instead A(anonymity)  got through! A isn't interested in writing, she hates it and she got through!  I tried my best to tell the teacher to add my name to the list, he could, but he didn't.
After a lot of crying, i realised that I could either allow it to make or break me. I'm going to prove it to him that I am better and I am capable of doing great things. I am never going to give up.:)
